Dumelang Executive Lodge

1.Overview

Dumelang Executive lodge is a brand that consists of two lodges. The one we are looking at is the Sandton branch, which is in the suburb of Kelvin. While they do not offer rooms on an hourly basis, they do have a day rest offering at a price of R350. An overnight stay, on the other hand, is R500 per night.

2. Location and accessibility

 The lodge is located in Kelvin, which is to the west of East of the M1 highway, close to where Eastgate is. It’s basically in between Marlboro and the area of Woodmead. It is on a slightly busy street, with office parks across the road.

There is a single room type at Dumeleng, which is the standard room type that consists of a double bed and is suitable for two adults.

4. Highlighted amenities

The amenities that you will find at the lodge are the usual far. There is parking on the property available for those who are driving through, and free wireless internet is also available.

Dumelang Lodge doesn’t have much of an online footprint, so there isn’t much in the way of reviews.

Sandton Guest House is one of the bigger hourly room chains in Gauteng. They have branches in Paulshof, Morningside, and another in Randburg. They also have some of the more upmarket locations on the market, but they come at a higher price.

The prices start at R300 per hour  and from R600 for an overnight stay. The have been around since at least 2020 so this is at least their fourth year in business.

There are are various types of rooms at the lodges, but the main one for most guests is the double room that can be used by individuals or couples.

The amenities at the lodges are some of the better ones. They have all the requirements like TVs with cable television, free WiFi and safe parking for guest vehicles.
