Their prices are as follows: R150 for 1 hour. The rates for day rate vary according to room and availability, but are between R300 and R400.  They also have night rest accommodation, which costs between R350 and R550 depending on the type of room.

2. Location and accessibility

The address of Millie’s Guest House is in the Somerset Park suburb of uMhlanga. It is in a more quiet area of Umhlanga, surrounded by residential homes. The guest house is still located centrally enough to be close to all the places you might want to go. Gateway Theatre of Shopping is only 2.3km away, which is a 25 minute walk or a 5 minute drive. Taxis do not pass by this area so it is ideal if you are travelling by car.

3. Types of rooms available

There are two types of rooms at Milly’s Guest House. The first type is the standard double room. The rooms are double rooms, which come with a double bed so the room accommodates two adults. Then there is the deluxe room, which is bigger and costs more than the standard room.

Amenities that you can expect here include a TV in each room with OpenView and DSTV. There is free WiFi and reception is available 24/7. The property is large with ample free parking for guests. There is also a swimming pool on the property for the use of guests, which can come in useful on those hot Umhlanga days.

Milly’s Guest House is still pretty new so it doesn’t have an online profile with reviews on it. Based on word of mouth, though, the guest houses provides a good standard of accommodation. The only down side is that not all of the rooms have an en-suite bathroom, so you might have to pay a bit more if you want to have the privacy of a private bathroom.

But overall, Milly’s guest house provides a service of rooms per hour in Umhlanga, and is the only guest house we know of that does that. That makes them the de-facto option if you are looking for a short stay or day rest accommodation.
